| Tl- the contact owns a 2010 toyota corolla. the contact stated that while traveling 45 mph, the vehicle erroneously accelerated. the contact shifted into neutral where he was able to slow down and pull into a nearby parking lot. the vehicle was restarted and the accelerator pedal returned to normal position. the vehicle was driven to the dealer where the failure could not be replicated. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted about the issue. the failure mileage was 16,426 and the current mileage was unavailable. kmj | |||

| This vehicle uses a drive by wire (dwb) accelerator. when you press on the gas the car lurches forward. this happened on a rental car in 2010 and still is a problem on the used toyota i purchased. when i contacted toyota they stated there was no recall information. they asked me to have the vehicle diagonized at my expense, which i refused to do. this is a problem and based on information on the net others are having the same problem. i have owned many cars and not one has had such a touchy pedal. *tr | |||
