| Tl- the contact owns a 1994 toyota pickup equipped with general touring tires, size: 205/75/14.the contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the front driver side tire became flat. the contact mentioned that after inspecting the tire he noticed that the tread was separated. the contact had a roadside assistance technician replace the tire with the spare. shortly after the replacement, he noticed that the spare tire was cracked and rotten. the tires were not replaced. the approximate failure mileage was 160,000. kmj | |||

| Consumer stated that while driving on the highway at approximately 60-65 mph heard a popping noise, and vehicle suddenly pulled to the right, causing it to roll over and pancake. he stated that this was driver's side rear tire. also, he had to be cut from the vehicle. tires were cooper tires, bronco radial cte, size p235 75 r15, with about 20000 miles on them.*ak | |||

| Had a flat tire. unscrewed the jack to change the tire, there was a c-clip missing. this clip holds the rod which goes through the middle of black box. with this clip missing it could cause the spare tire to fall off while driving. *ak | |||

| I was driving so on 9a, jacksonville, fl, @62-65mph, on 7/21/00, 6:30 am, fairly heavy traffic, day was clear, not raining or wet, it was dark. suddenly the left rear of my truck felt soft. i turned on ri signal, slowed, did not hit brakes, but used the clutch, moved from the center lane of three at the crest of the dames point bridge. the tire separated the tread, and it wrapped around the left rear axle. only because i had proper training in defensive driving did i know how to avoid a serious accident. my tire dealer, paul lewis, arlington rd @ university blvd has removed all the tires and replaced them with another manufacturer's tires. i felt it important to report this to you for information purposes.( dot number: tire size: 250r14 ) | |||
