Tl*the contact owns a 2006 toyota prius. the contact noticed that the two front fenders on the vehicle were separated from the body and rocker panel. he also noticed a quarter inch gap on both front sides of the vehicle. the dealer stated that he should be more careful driving over railroad tracks and bumps, which they determined to be the cause of the failures. a case was filed with the manufacturer. the contact is awaiting a return call. the failure and current mileages were less than 43,000.

On our 2006 toyota prius, purchased june 27, 2006, night-time driving vision is impaired by the reflection of the dashboard onto the windshield. the image of the dashboard information lights is strongly reflected right into the center of the driver's vision necessitating looking under, over, or around the reflections. poooooor dashboard design. very disappointing and scary.

Driving along a country road at night and the headlights went out. very scary. went off the road a bit and the car got scratched. restarted car and headlights went on for a short time, then dim, then off. this a huge safety problem that nhtsa has failed to do its duty with. toyota says tought luck, you are past the extended warranty. light suddenly going out while driving at night is clearly a safety issue. is nhtsa simply going to wait until there are enough fatalities to take meaningful action. toyota clearly doesn't want to take any responsibility for their clearly defective and dangerous product.
