Tl- the contact owns a 2010 toyota prius. the contact stated that the navigation system was reading inaccurately when entering street addresses. he noticed that the navigation system would place him about a quarter of a mile off from his destination. both the dealer and manufacturer advised the contact that there was nothing wrong with the system and advised him to take the vehicle through the arbitration process. the current mileages were 28,000 and the failure mileages were 10. bw

I am filing a complaint on a 2010 toyota prius. the complaint list is: the eject button on the manufactured stereo has melted. have contacted a toyota dealership regarding this and they took pictures of the melted button on the stereo, they sent the pictures to their dspm deptartment, their response was, appears to be damaged from an outside influence. we have disagreed with their conclusion and are afraid that it may lead to a possible fire in the car? we contacted toyota's 800 number (1-800-331-4331) and let them know that we disagreed with their conclusion, in which we were told they would get back to us in three business days, which they didn't. we contacted them to let them know we were concerned about the car stereo getting hot enough to melt a button, could this possibly start a fire in the car? they returned the call within 24 hours. they advised us once again that the damage was caused by an outside influence which they couldn't determine. we were told if we didn't like these results to get a lawyer. we are still concerned that this could or may cause a car fire? could someone please contact me at tjwhitesides@hotmail.com and let us know what could have caused this to happen?

2010 prius repeatedly exhibited the braking defect at issue in recent recall (sudden lurch forward upon encountering bump while braking to stop)--recall service performed 5 weeks ago. although the sudden lurching stopped (until today) after the recall service, the braking behavior then had a consistently odd feeling requiring increased pressure to fully stop (though no more sudden lurching forward when encountering bump). then today the old lurch forward suddenly recurred when encountering bump while slowing to a stop. dealership contacted and says they have no further remedy beyond recent computer adjustment performed as part of february, 2010 recall--basically totally disinterested.

 1) 2010 prius iv: after applying the breaks lightly, if traveling over a bump or man-hole cover or painted pavement stripe. 2) the breaks disengage while still being applied, causing the vehicle to progress without any breaking. 3) after taking the car in for service, i was told that toyota has no fix for this problem, and that they are aware of the problem, and will contact me when a fix is available. i haven't heard anything back so far.

Vehicle parked on a downward slope. vehicle started and proceeded down slope...applied brake lightly, but vehicle brakes locked up, causing a severe jerking stop motion...released brake and applied again, and it continued again, hard braking, jerking vehicle to a stop. no change in brake pressure seemed to resolve this hard braking, locking up effect. only after driving for a few miles did the brakes return to normal. *cn

On occasion, the brakes on our 2010 toyota prius, purchased june 2009, momentarily do not stop the vehicle, and the vehicle appears to lunge forward. this has been reported to the toyota servicing dealer each time the vehicle has been brought in for service, and no solution has been offered. this problem continues to this day. *cn

On multiple occasions, i have experienced issues with the car suddenly accelerating while i'm pressing the brakes. specifically, this appears to occur when braking on uneven surfaces (ie construction areas, pot holes, etc.). this can obviously become a deadly situation if one is trying to stop the vehicle and with this problem run into the car/vehicle ahead. most recently this occurred on the surface streets in low speed, in traffic. it feels like the car lurches ahead while applying the brake. i was told by the service people at toyota that i was making this up. i can recreate it given the right surface.

2010 toyota prius has problem with the fm radio. ***nar*** *nj the consumer stated the fm radio had excessive, intermittent static and easily lost signals, even on high wattage. the traffic feature which automatically located bay area fm traffic stations did not always work because the signal was so distorted as she drives further out of the city. *jb
