| This a second pair of new tires we buy. they were worn unevenly. we do tire rotation every 5,000 miles and alignment every 10,000 miles. however, the car its the tires very unevenly. the tire pressure is checked and kept at the given manufacturer recommendations. all my friends that own toyota's have similar problems. this is a serious issue that could lead to an accident if the tires get torn when driving. plus we are damaging the environment when we are replacing the tires so often. i had similar tires in a different car, they lasted 90,000 miles. here i cannot get 25,000 miles out of them. *tr | |||

| I first reported this to toyota prior to the initial 2010 recall, the car was less than 1 month old and i have reported it on numerous occasions via the toyota website. on the few occasions i lent the car to friends they have had the same experience. description: when traveling at relatively slow speeds and an unexpected bump comes up and the brakes are engaged early, once going over the bump the car losses brake power for a few seconds and jolts forward. it is very disconcerting b/c in those split seconds if one is not prepared the car hurls forward and could if all odds are against me, the car could kill someone if they are walking in front of the car. i reported it to my dealer, my dealer's inspector went out on test drive with me, we were able to recreate the incident when he was driving as there are a few spots in my neighborhood that it happens every time. he put the computer on the car but it did not read there was a problem. he called the national technical office, who eventually came out, i left the car at the dealership. they recreated the problem and according to the local technician they put a camera in the wheel to film the situation. i was later told by my local technician that it was determined that there was not a problem with the car and that the situation is normal where the tire catches an uneven surface and goes into overdrive. i have had dreams that i would kill someone in this car. noone is allowed to use this car for the same reason. i fear for my life and the life of anyone walking in front of me on a street i do not know. it happens almost every 2 weeks. it is scary! please help! this is the first new car i bought in 25 years and i am unable to get rid of it b/c i had to pay so muh for it. when i inquired what my options were, toyota said none, that there is no problem with the car. | |||

| Front tires chipping on the inside and outside. told to get them rotated and alignment. 6 lug nuts broke off during the rotation and the alignment was not that far off. told the tires where the wrong ones for that heavy of a vehicle. took to the dealer and he laughed at me and said they would love to charge me to replace all my lug nuts and those where the right tires for the vehicle and he said i was lucky to get 35,000 miles out of them because everyone else only got 25,000 miles with the tires he then tried to sell me a new set of tires. four days later the car decided to drive itself into a tree at 20 miles an hour. no air bags deployed but the car was totaled. | |||

| When braking normally and the car passes over ribbed road surface areas which indicate a stop ahead or raised expansion strips, the car often times appears to speed up. it's as if when the wheels come slightly off the ground, braking is interrupted and the wheels spin more rapidly. normal braking resumes when the tire regains contact with the road surface, causing a minor lurching feeling. although it creates just a momentary out-of-control feeling, it is a very uncomfortable feeling of no braking. it has happened multiple times at the same traffic light and each time it catches me off guard. my 2010 prius has previously been in for the braking recall fix. | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2010 toyota tundra. while examining the vehicle the contact noticed that the spare tire was a different size than the original tires. the vehicle was taken to the dealership where the contact was informed that the vehicle was performing normally. the current and failure mileages were 6500. bml | |||

| Car: 2010 prius ii driving on wet pavement and approaching a stoplight. started applying the brakes and hit a pot hole - vehicle sped up for a moment and lunged forward this was not the first time i have experienced this but it was the most noticeable. each time it has occurred while braking and going over uneven roads. this time almost hit the car in front of me at the light. | |||

| While driving our 2010 prius on or around jan 23rd at around 2:30pm cst, saw a pot hole ahead and started braking. the left front tire went over the pot hole but the brakes skipped and the vehicle didn't stop and continued to move ahead with the same speed. fortunately, no one was there in front. re-applied the brakes again quickly to bring the vehicle to a stop. *tr | |||
