| I have 2006 rav4 with 62,800 miles on it. the seat belts do not retract properly and some times they do not hold the body tight enough when in locked position. i called up the dealer (northway toyota dealer, latham, ny) and he says there would be charges to look at this problem at the rate of $94 an hour. i was under the impression that safety related items like seat belts should be taken care by the manufacturer free of cost. *tr | |||

| The bolt holding the lower part of the driver's seat belt to the vehicle (bottom part of b pillar) became detached, leaving seat belt attached only at upper mounting point. seat belt was rendered inoperable. it appears that the bolt was not tightened during the assembly of the vehicle. *jb | |||
