VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

I was on my way to work when the vehicle in front of me came to a complete stop. i was approx. three car lengths behind her (which is plenty of distance at 25mph) when i appllied my brakes though nothing happened. they made a grinding noise (like the pads were gone, but they are new ceramic pads). i ended up hitting the vehicle in front of me. i got a citation for following to close, which is $260.00, my insurance was increased by over $100.00 a month, i had to pay for her car plus $3750.00 of damage on mine. she didnt have insurance and was driving on a suspended license.when i told the officer what had happened with my car he just looked at me as if i were stupid. this is a major problem that is and has cost people a lot of money, not to mention being without a vehicle.

Occasionally while stopped at red light, my engine will rev unexpectedly without my me touching the gas pedal, this has caused my car to jerk forward on several occasions and has almost made me hit the car in front of me and worst it has forced me into the middle of intersections. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 toyota scion. the contact stated as she started the vehicle it accelerated and would not stop as she depressed the brakes the vehicle finally stopped. the vehicle was towed to a mechanic. after a diagnostic test they stated that they could not repair the failure and the vehicle should go to the toyota dealer for repair. the vehicle was then towed to the dealer and after running a diagnostic test it showed that the actuator needed to be replaced. the repair cost was $1,000 and the contact wants a reimbursement since her model should be recalled but it does not appear on the recall list. the toyota manufacturer could not be reached and this has been going on for over a month. the failure mileage was 47,574.
