 Tl* the contact owns a 2008 toyota scion tc. while driving approximately 25 mph, the brakes became hesitant when applied and the contact stated that the abs, vsc, air bag warning and brake warning lights were illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was advised that the brake sensor would need to be replaced. in addition, the technician advised that the vehicle would not be safe to drive until the repairs were performed. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact stated that the vehicle began to exhibit an unusual burning odor. the manufacturer was contacted and advised that the vehicle was unsafe to operate. they also advise that the failure could have been caused by the wheel hub assembly because there was a service alert issued for the failure advising that the wheel could potentially fracture from the vehicle. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the technician was waiting for the parts to arrive to repair the vehicle. the dealer stated that the parts were on a national back order. the approximate failure mileage was 48,025.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2008 toyota scion. while driving approximately 25 mph the contact noticed the brakes were hesitating when pressure was applied to the brake pedal. the contact stated the abs, vsc, air bag light and the brake light illuminated on the dash board. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the technicians stated the brake sensor needed to be replaced and stated that was the cause of the lights illuminating on the dash board. the technicians stated the vehicle was safe to drive until the repairs could be made. the contact stated she smelled burning wire coming from the rear passenger wheel after driving the vehicle from the dealer. the manufacturer was contacted and stated the vehicle was not safe to drive. the manufacturer stated the problem could be due to a failure with the wheel hub assembly and there was a service alert issued for this failure because the wheel could detach from the vehicle. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the technicians are waiting for the parts to arrive to repair the vehicle. the dealer stated the parts were on a national back order. the approximate failure mileage was 48,025. ds
