I took my 2001 toyota sequoia to be inspected today. when the mechanic looked under the truck, he saw that the frame was completely rusted and said that it was unsafe to drive. i was told it was so rusted that the tire might fall off. i called toyota and was told that there was nothing they could do about it because there had not been any complaints. clearly, others are having the same problem and i hope that toyota looks into this issue with the frame on the 2001 sequoia immediately.

I have a 2001 toyota sequoia that last summer in may the air conditioner no longer worked. i took it to my garage where they determined the compressor no longer worked. mileage was 39,000 just out of warranty. the whole ac system needed replacing which i did not mind because i could not get rid of the mold smell. my garage was able to find a used system which i had put in at what i considered a very high expense. almost to the day my ac has crashed again. i'm looking into my options right now. the exact same problem a year apart with different systems. looks like a lemon to me. *ak

Purchased a toyota sequoia 7/01. been in and out of service ever since. we are currently on our 3rd set of brakes, 3rd trip computer, and 3rd set of tires, 2nd battery, 2nd amplifier. car only has 33,000 miles many other problems including some electrical. currently waiting for word from dealership on problems with transmission and fuel system. everything up to this point (except tires #3) has been covered by warranty. dealership got a case # with toyota so these problems will be covered if they persist. feel like we are on the path to a lemon. don't know how else to proceed. sent toyota a letter detailing problems, asking to possibly help us get into another vehicle. we are at the point where it is a new concern everyday with this car. help!!!!!!*ak
