The third row power seat became inoperable. the seat back would not come up so someone could sit there. toyota has a technical service bulletin (tsb) and it is t-sb-0183-09. toyota knows that they have a problem with this seat. this is a safety issue because the seating capacity is cut and no seat belts for the passengers. i was out of town and we had to fold the seat down to pick up some larger items and when we dropped those items off, the seat would not return to the upright position. it was the larger portion of the 60/40 seat; therefore cutting my capacity by 2 people. luck for us, we are a family of 5 and were still able to make it the 300 miles home with everyone in a seat with a seatbelt. if we had one more in our family i don't know what we would have done. i am able to do that type of repair but it was still over $500 dollars to repair. if you take it to the dealer it is around $1000! there is no manual override or any way to get the seat to work. you must replace the seat track assembly. now my other side has quit working! this is a safety concern! they say the van has a capacity of 7. with that seat not working it is only 6. this would be different if toyota didn't already acknowledge that there is a problem. i was a automotive technician for 15 years and i would accept this as a part failure, if it was isolated. it is a problem enough for toyota to recognize it and give it a tsb! this should be a safety recall. *tr

The srs light began to blink. i took the van to the dealership to diagnose the problem. they said it was due to an open air bag in the front passenger seat which would cost $2000 to repair. i have since searched the internet to find several other complaints about the same problem. the yellow harness under the seat could possibly be the problem. if this wire is wiggled, the light goes off for a period of time. however, it returns later. i feel like srs safety should be covered for the lifetime of the vehicle unless the vehicle has been in an accident and they deploy (as they should unless there is a faulty mechanism such as mine has). toyota should do their part to keep customers safe, especially after we have spent thousands on a vehicle in hopes of having a safe vehicle to drive. *tr

While reconfiguring the middle row seats of my 2006 toyota sienna le, several 15 and 17 mm bolts fell loose from the seat. i removed the moldings around the seats and inspected the situation. my findings, documented with pictures, revealed several loose bolts in the assemble attaching the seat back with the seat bottom. three bolts had come completely loose while three more were no longer tight in the passenger side middle-row seat. four bolts were no longer tight in the driver side middle-row seat.

I bought a 2006 8 passenger toyota sienna on february 14 and discovered the next day that the second row seating had no arm rests. in sharp turns or when swerving to avoid an accident or debris in the road the second row passengers have nothing to hold on to and are thrown sideways toward the windows. *nm

There is no way to proper adjust headrest height for taller people (average male and above) on 2006 toyota sienna le cloth seats first and second row. even the highest locking position is too low for me and my son. we are approximately 6 ft tall. contacted toyota and generally they said nothing could be done by them to help me. *nm
