| New 1992 toyota 3vze long bed truck blew the headgasket three times, about 6 months apart & as it was a campaign & not a recall the dealerships would not fix it until i called toyota mfg. each repair, i had to pay approx $1k to $2k and the first two times they used the same defective gasket! i had also complained about the steering from the day i bought it as it will not make a sharp left turn when moving slow, mostly in 4-wheel drive. i was told all 4x4's are like that. i know better than that! my 66 land rover & 78 land cruiser do not have a steering problem in any gear at any speed. it finally stopped blowing headgaskets, but it is still useless offroad due to the steering ! mechanical failures on a new vehicle are bad enough, but the treatment & lies from the dealerships guarantee that i will never buy or recommend anything toyota again ! *jb | |||
