I feel this is not an isolated case and can lead to catastrophic failure of the alloy wheels on toyota trucks causing serious injury and possible death to driver and/or passengers. alloy wheels are corroding with only 40,000 miles and toyota won't even call me back. service manager at northshore toyota in louisiana said it was due to extreme use. this was after a 30 second inspection. when i asked to speak with a factory rep. i was told that would not happen. since then i have been given the run around by toyota. i have owned and recommended toyota's since 1974 and will now seriously reconsider my position. *tr

My husband and i purchased a 2006 toyota tundra access cab on 11/25/06 at toyota of fort worth texas . less than 6 days later, we were driving home on a street that leads to our house, less than a mile, we have been traveling this road for at least 15 years. it was slightly raining, we approached the curve to the left on this road. made the curve and all of a sudden the wheels broke loose, my husband tried to correct but the truck began to accelerate, then turned completely sideways and crashed into two trees that were less than 5 feet from the road. it also appears that the 4 wheel anti lock brake system wasn't working. *jb
