Defect Summary	On certain motorcycles, the fuel connector linking each of the feed and return fuel hoses to the fuel pump mounting plate may fracture following in-service handling.
Consequence Summary	Fuel could escape from the fractured body of the connector onto the engine or side of the bike. fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, can result in a fire.
Corrective Summary	Dealers will replace the connector. the recall began on july 30, 2004. owners should contact triumph at 1-678-854-2010.

	Tl-the contact owns a 2003 triumph speed four. while driving 15 mph, the contact stated that the fuel line separated from the fuel tank. the manufacturer made the contact aware of the recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number 04v156000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings), but stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under the recall. the dealer was notified and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the recall. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 6,600 and the current mileage was 6,800. sm.
