| Tl- the contact owns 2009 volkswagen cc. the contact stated the steering wheel will shake when the vehicle is started, the vehicle will beep and the red steering system malfunction indicator light comes on. when this occurs the contact is unable to steer the vehicle. the dealer has stated this is caused by a steering box failure, which is under recall campaign 08v577000. the dealer stated that it is not showing up on the computer and the vehicle is not included in the recall. the dealer also stated the vehicle was not made to show an error code. if the vehicle is turned on and the system resets, the error code will not show up. the failure mileage was 9000 and the current mileage was 13000.rl | |||

| Steering problem with 2009 volkswagen cc vr 6 4motion. *nj the consumer stated the vehicle had a tendency to drift to the left or right, kind of a floating motion without any movement of the steering wheel. as a result, it required constant attention at higher speeds and was most disturbing during traffic or narrow lane driving. the dealer examined the steering mechanism, suspension, wheels and tires and all were found to be within specifications. the consumer mentioned recall 08v577000 that seemed to be related to the problem he was experiencing. *jb | |||
