| The horns on my vehicle have been repaired three times and are again not working. the gas and temp gauge are not working and a local dealer said this is a persistent problem with eurovans. the air conditioning has gone out several times. the air conditioner compressor froze one time and melted the serpetine into all of the engine pulleys--cost to repair $4,000.00. headlights filled with water. rear heater fan clanks loudly. excessive noise in vehicle. *ak | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 1993 volkswagen eurovan. while driving 5 mph, the engine on one side of the vehicle became completely loose and fell to the ground. the pan, which supported the engine, fell onto the street and dragged on the ground. an engine bracket, to which the engine is bolted, needed to be replaced. the manufacturer stated that nothing could be done. the vehicle is currently parked at an auto repair shop awaiting the parts for the repair. the parts would cost $450; however, the repair shop is giving him a discount. the manufacturer would not assist. the failure mileage was 131,000. | |||

| While driving consume noticed thick black smoke pouring from under the hood. when hood was lifted there was a fire in the engine, and strong odor of gasoline. fire was due by a leaking fuel line caused by defective clamps. the leak was in the fuel line from fuel pump to fuel injector rail directly above the distributor which provided the spark to ignite the gasoline. *ak | |||
