| Fuel/temperature gauge only works occasionally. i was quoted a price of $700.00 to replace at dealer several years ago but i know of three other vw eurovans with the same problem and i just found an article stating that replacement doesn't solve the problem, the existing board has to be soldered. i think vw should cover this as it is dangerous for all concerned to travel without knowing the car temperature or how much fuel there is. *nlm | |||

| Instrument panel gauges not responding, when consumer went ot test gauges the vehicle was parked in first gear with the emergency brake engaged, when the ignition key was turned the vehicle started and ran into the garage causing extensive damage, the design of the manual transmission (no clutach safety switch) allows for acceleration without engagment of the clutch. *yh | |||
