| Automatic transmission jerks/lurches violently upon upshift from 1st to 2nd (automatic transmission). transmission does not engage for a few seconds after depressing accelerator - very scary when on expressway entrance ramp! dealer inspection determined that transmission control unit was faulty (this is an adaptive automatic transmission). parts were not available to repair the problem - long wait required! car is driveable but we are very cautious. *ak | |||

| Instrument panel gauges not responding, when consumer went ot test gauges the vehicle was parked in first gear with the emergency brake engaged, when the ignition key was turned the vehicle started and ran into the garage causing extensive damage, the design of the manual transmission (no clutach safety switch) allows for acceleration without engagment of the clutch. *yh | |||
