The driver side wiper blade on this jetta is scratching the glass leaving a streak in the drivers line of sight. the blades have been replaced and the windshield replaced only to have the new windshield scratched in the drivers view. this has been looked at by several dealerships with no fix available other than replacing the windshield every few hundred miles or driving with drivers view obstructed.

New 2010 jetta se without rain sensor windshield wipers. the wiper speed decreases with the speed of the engine and does not consistently increase when the engine speed increases. when i slowed as i approached a yield sign in a driving rain, my windshield wipers slowed so much that i was unable to see out the windshield. as i accelerated, the speed did not return to the high level and i continued to be unable to see out the window. a repair was attempted, the wiper motor replaced, but no change has resulted. i am told by vw that this is the new design for the wipers and there is nothing to fix. *tr
