| Nothing led up to the failure. the windows in my new beetle convertible no longer function. i have had two of these fixed already, and now one of the back windows is broken. i noticed that this has been a problem for many other new beetle convertible owners as well. i am hoping that there is a recall to this issue as it effects so many other owners. | |||

| The rear window regulators went out on both windows, convertible top won't work 90% of the time. replaced headlight 4 times in 2 years. | |||

| The window regulators on the 2004 nbc are defective. both of my rear windows have broken. according to vw, there was a class action lawsuit where they extended the warrenty on these parts for 7 years. when i called to see about mine they said the convertibles were not covered, even though the same parts were used. the windows broke when i rolled them down to get the morning condensation off of them. an outside mechanic will charge me $260 per window versus the $500 per window quoted by vw. | |||
