 Odi'sinvestigation did not find any evidence that loose or brokenfront suspension u-bolts have caused or contributed to any crashes or near miss events.see the attached engineering analysisreport for full technical details.* 1996/1997 built vehicles are designated by volvo as 1998 model year.

 The cab has been aligned at least 4 times. 4 sets of new steer tires which only last about 60,000 miles. the front hub seals had to be replaced five times. *tt

 Consumer has problems with shearing u-bolts which have been replaced three times. the front end pops and creeks on slow speed turns. the front springs needed replacing. the dash has to be replaced every year due to excessive vibration. the window was broken and there are electrical problems due to bad grounds in the firewall. *jg

 Consumer stated while driving, the rear u-bolts broke, the driver almost wrecked and knocked a place in the pavement where the axle came down.*jb

 Driver states cab is leaning; left rear u-bolts loose; inside tire cupped; vehicle experienced problems with the front springs and cab air ride height, air ride valve leaks, steer axle hub caps leaks; and front end wanders, drag links replaced. *tt

 The u-bolt(s) has been a problem, one of the axles had broken while driving causing the tires to smoke and the shock to hang down. (volvo replaced all axles and tires) the wiring harness has been a problem as well, the dash lights the circuit braeker frequently. *tt *scc

 Consumer stated that all u-bolts on front axle broke, causing a loss of drivelines, consumer injured his knees, vehicle was aligned and six months later was off again, front axle is too heavy with a fuel tank and driver. *yd

 The spring broke on the vehicle, causing the left steering wheel assembly fell under the truck, took out the engine and caused vehicle to roll on straightaway, consumer was taken to the hospital. *jg

 Consumer owns 2 of these vehicles, both are experiencing tire wear problems, one of the trucks has a major vibration in the left front. *yh

 Fawr 12,349. received recall to replace tires and rims. currently has kelly 285/75r24.5 on veh single max load 6175, 5th wheel assy has been moved. blew a left front steer tire and it did a couple thousand dollars worth of damage, he thinks he may have hit something, replaced 3 sets of steer tires for a cupping problem the gen set was added after sale by the dealer. always exceeds 12,600 on bront steer plus has to run aft of zero or center on kingbin just to get weight down close to 12000 bu cant get under. this gen set with the location doesn't add a who lot of wgt to steers.
