Continental contiextremecontact radials size 205/55 r16 v speed rating, purchased on 7/10/08. tires have approximately 10,000 miles at incident date. upon arriving at destination after a 9 hour trip traveling at approximately 67mph average, both right side tires had large bulges in the sidewall. the right rear tire has a golfball sized bulge, the front right tire slightly smaller. the sidewall has obviously failed and the tire is quite spongy at the bulge. failure was caught before an accident was caused, however this could have been a loss of life accident if the tires had failed catastrophically. *tr

Two toyo proxes tpt 205/55r-16 (94v all seasons blackwall) tires have failed within six months of purchase and 10,000 miles. the sidewalls have developed thin spots that are bulging outwards, on the verge of a blowout. these tires were replacements for toyo proxes fz4 blackwalls p205/55vr when one of them blew out through the sidewall after 2.5 years of moderately light usage. because two tires (both driver's side) are affected, i can't click an appropriate box on a following screen.*jb

2 rear studded tires (rotated on only 2 weeks previously) delaminated as i was exiting the freeway. coincidental vs related destruction of u joint. les schwab tires would only prorate value of 2 tires, not provide 4 tires all alike as needed on awd vehicle. also denies such incident could damage transmission or u joints. concern other 2 tires on car bought at same time may also be defective and need replacement. concern defect with their brand to delaminate like this.*ak

Consumer states he hit a pot hole which caused the right front tire to loose air, consumer purchased a new tire and he then questioned the mechanic about how much tire pressure was used, consumer was advised that the tire pressure was 28 psi, at a later date consumer was experiencing a vibration in the steering wheel, vehicle was taken to service department and vehicle was inspected and consumer was told that both front tires have cord separation and they needed to be replaced, consumer purchased four new tires and now the vibration is gone, consumer believes that the dealership is delivering new vehicles with tire pressure less than the factory recommendation which contributed to the fialure of the tires on his vehicle (continental).*jb
