 The hood popped open while driving at 60-70 mph, because the inner latch assembly is attached to the frame of the truck rather than the body. therefore, any flexing will cause the pin to dislodge its bracket and resulting that side to be loose. consumer is now using external hood latches to keep hood shut. *yh
