| Crankcase ventilation discharge on diesel trucks is apparently still allowed to discharge in front of the drivers compartment. as the trucks age, the discharge is increased while the cab becomes more porous and the driver is at risk of inhaling these toxic fumes. it is my experience that this happens a lot and drivers often don't realize they are breatheing bad air. quite often opening the window increases the fumes and drafts them to the drivers face. this can be fixed easily by extending the discharge tube to discharge behind the drivers compartment. i can confirm the effectiveness of this action. all engine discharge should be expelled behind the drivers compartment. | |||
