The differential failed requiring a complete rebuild twice jeopardizing the safety of the operator .the vehicle is a 1992 winnebago adventure .the data plate rates the rear axle at 12000 lbs. the rear axle [ a dana 80] is rated at 10,000 lbs . a like problem existed on a fleetwood motor home . in that case the mfg. was required to replace the rear axle with one over proper capacity ref. nhtsa campaign id number: 99v013000. although the problem has slipped through the cracks the mfg should be required to at the very least replace the rear axle with one over the correct capacity as fleetwood was required to do. *tr updated 03/19/10
