Defect SummaryWinnebago is recalling 31 my 2006-2008 itasca cambria, horizon, winnebago access, adventurer, journey, minnie winnie, signtseer, tour, vectra, and voyage motor homes equipped with ricon platform style wheelchair lifts. these lifts fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 403, platform lift systems for motor vehicles. the anti-stow interlock may not detect the presence of a wheelchair or mobility aid user. the pressure sensing switch that detects the presence of weight on the platform was not adjusted to the necessary sensitivity level. the lift could stow even though someone or something is still on the lift.
Consequence SummaryA lift occupant can be injured should the lift begin to stow unintentionally.

Consequence SummaryThis steering condition could result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

 Consumer writes to complain against workhorse, the builder of the chassis on his 2007 winnebago adventurer, motor home *tgw the consumer stated the safety recall was unsatisfactory. the consumer stated the right rear brake overheated and there was a smell of smoke and the abs and brake light illuminated. there was a loss of braking and brake fluid loss from the master cylinder. workhorse only authorized two calipers to be replaced and one rotor repair. no pads were covered. the hot and smoking right rear brake which were badly worn and the rotors scoured were not covered in the recall. the consumer had to pay for the additional repairs. the consumer did not give the model of the workhorse chassis. *jb

 We have a water leak at the top of the windshield and there appears to be a small amount of rust starting in the upper passenger side corner
