Defect SummaryCertain motor homes equipped with norcold refrigerator cooling units model numbers 442, 443, 452, ev452, 453, 462, ev462, 463, ev463, 482, ev482, 483, ev483, 874, and 875. these refrigerators can experience a break down in a rubber seal within the gas valve. as the rubber seal ages, a leak may occur, allowing propane gas to accumulate in the burner area.
Consequence SummaryThe consequence can result in a fire, possibly causing serious injury or death.

 Frame mounts under rear wheel wells on 2000 winnebago journey failed due to faulty welding; noticed problem when metal in wheel wells started collapsing; these welds join the chassis to frame of rv; have no real indication of when welds failed but has been several months; because of faulty welds, lots of shifting and sagging in back of rv also causing possible fire hazard and has fallen on air lines. *jb

 Consumer experienced four tire failures with michelin tire equipment on the 2000 winnebago journey.*mr consumer was told by the dealer that they still had 80% of tread left on the tires. *bf

 Passenger front tire blew out at around 20,000 miles on odometer; second driver side tire found to have bubble on inside sidewall around 25,000 miles on odometer; second tire taken to michelin dealer whom stated that tire appeared to be affected by impact and not covered by warranty; tires have only been impacted by normal potholes, etc; talked to several folks including chassis manufacturer (freightliner) and found that sidewalls very thin on xrv tires and frequently experience blowouts; also found several other complaints on internet of folks experiencing blowouts at similar mileage; have since replaced tires with xve since these are much thicker sidewalls and have longer wear.*jb
