Defect SummaryVehicle description: motor homes (models wkp36l, wkp36ld, and ikp36ld). four nuts may have loosened from the four bolts that connect the liquid propane (lp) tank to the motor home. if the attachment hardware is loosened, the road vibration could produce undue stress on the weld joints of the brackets and they could break.
Consequence SummaryIf this happens, the tank could fall off, resulting in a road hazard or a fire.
Corrective SummaryDealers will inspect the lp tank attachment and re-tightened the fasteners in addition to adding lock nuts. owner notification began august 24, 2001. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact winnebago at 1-641-585-6939.

 Total loss of air pressure on our 2001 winnebago journey dl due to the blow-out of two small air tubes on the engine air compressor. these tubes are 3 to 31/2 in. long x 1/4 in. in diameter. these tubes are made of plastic and should not be used to control braking systems for a 26,000lb vehicle. *ak

 Tire separation on 2001 winnebago journey dl.***no answer required***.*mr the consumer had three incidents of tire blowouts. in each case the tire blewout though the sidewall. these failures occurred at 28520, 34321 and 37012. ( two tires had dot number b6bjbvjx3001 and one had b6bjbvjx2000). *nm

 Three of four rear tires on my motor home have blown out in the past year. the motor home is a 2001 winnebago on a freightline chassis with michelin tires. all of the blowouts have been in the same fashion. this happened with mileage of 25,000-27,000 on unit.*ak

 (2) seperate blow outs.left rear inner dual, and the right rear outer dual tire. the first blow out was last november approx. 6,000 miles tire,second blow out was on may 12, 2003 approx.9,000 miles on tire.tires are dated 2000, also mh. was not overweight at any time. t ire pressure was 90lbs. front,100lbs rears. tire brand: michelin xrv 235/80 22.5 rims it appears these tires defective and unsafe. although the tires have low milage on them i am going to replace with another brand. we were lucky the blow outs were not on the front tires. i have the certified scale weights of each axle and total wieght, i can forward them to you if needed .
