The above vehicle was purchased on 10/29/2010, while conducting the first 30 day riving test, it was noticed that the instrument cluster was not functioning properly, the display light will not come on and therefore had to drive in the evening without this knowledge. during the dailight, when i placed the vehicle in cruise control the instrument cluster failed to tell me so. there are many other features to this instument that i do not know if they work or not. upon bringing the vehicle back to the purchasing dealer, i was told that the instrument panel had been previously recalled by the manufacturer and that the work had already been completed on april 2010 and therefore if i wanted it fixed, i would have to pay approximately $600.00 to get it fixed. this vehicle was sold to me while being unsafe to drive, how can they tell me that i would have to pay for a safety repair of this magnitude when it did not happen while i owned the vehicle. the workhorse recall number was bulletin no. 50402-c. it is my contention that the dealership should pay for this very important part of the safety of this vehicle.

I have a holiday rambler vacationer motor home with a workhorse chassis there is a recall nhtsa # 06v22700 for an instrument cluster panel, which was replaced on my vehicle, that continues to blank out intermintantly causing the panel to go dark at night, buzzing alarm, and all the guages to reset. i have called workhorse 3/2/07 to report that the condition continues, but they stated that they are still working on a fix. it is three years since the condition started how long are we to wait? is it possible that the replacement panel was also bad? can the nhtsa board help me with this matter? thank you for your consideration. *jb

Since taking delivery in april 2004, periodically instrument panel fails for short periods. all gauges go to zero and all warning lights come on and remain in this state for 5 - 45 seconds. my wife panicked the last time and almost crashed into a guard rail. workhorse reprogrammed computer module twice (there was a recall involving brake warning light). they thought this would fix my problem, but it did not. they have reported to me for the last two years that they are working on a fix. date is last instance, but it happens on every trip at least once. at a recent gathering of owners about 20 people acknowledged that they are having the problem. *nm
