Since day one we have had a problem with the steering shaking at 55mph and higher, after 48000 miles we decided to change the tires and see if that would fix our problem, guess what, didn't even change a thing,we are so upset at the fact that while driving our truck which we are leasing and thought of buying after we had finished the lease feels so unsafe that after the lease is over this will be the last isuzu we ever buy!!! along with the tire issue we have complained about an engine rattling noise when accelerating on hills and the dealer we took it to suggested we change fuel types and grades, the owners manual suggest the grade we had been using?? so why change, well we tried that too...you can guess didn't change a thing, still rattles!!!!!!!!we have had many other things go wrong with this truck since we bought it and have never had this many problems with a veh other than this isuzu..the latest thing we have been having trouble with is a thunk noise coming from the rear of the truck when letting off the brakes at a stop light and starting to pull away....thunk!! you hear it and feel the truck jolt!!...we had the rear axle fluid changed and transmission fluid aswell...ha ha...guess again...still there...our next option to the isuzu rodeo nightmare is to just park this thing and wait till the lease is up and let everyone we know and they know never to buy an isuzu rodeo unless the have money to throw again....next time we'll look at an american made car!!!*ak (tiresize: 23575r15)

Truck vibrates at speeds of 45 miles per hour. truck has been taken for inspection and the following has been done: change tires three times, rotate all tires, pitman arms have been changed, brakepads have been changed, roters replaced, shocks replaced, allignment , balancing of tires, steering stabalizer done, with all this this truck continues with the same problem. the manufacturer has never been able to fix the problem even when it was under warranty. we are unable to find a solution to this problem and wonder if this truck model has been recalled. the problem continues. please help! *ak

Front suspension failure has caused front wheel and tire damage. these are low profile tires and the wheels are a two-piece design (the center spokes are welded to the rim). this leaves the rim area not fully supported and therefore weak.*ak( dot number: tire size: 245/45zr18 )

I am scared. at 50-70mph the vibration from the front tires up through the steering wheel is dangerous, borders on losing control. research on internet: this is a highly common problem for montero sport owners. please advise. *ak( dot number: )

I was in an accident six weeks after i purchased my montero. stuart lincoln-mercury, who is an authorized dealer, repaired my montero. my front end was supposed to be aligned. at 6400 miles, i had my tires rotated, and i saw that the tires on the passanger side were wearing as if they were out of alignment. i took my montero back to the shop to have it checked. i was told they aligned my front end while my vehicle was being repaired for the accident. i was told that mitisubishi uses cheap tires, and that is normal wear. i aso had tire kingdom, (a certified yokohama representitive) evaluate my tires. they said the front end must be out of alignment. again, i went back to mitsubishi, and again, i was told that there was nothing wrong with my alignment. i'm afraid, if this is true, i will have to be replacing my tires every 6400 to 10,000 miles. i was also told that they have seen this happen on these monteros. i believe, if my tires are going to wear like this, there has to be a more serious problem with my vehicle. please help me! *ak( dot number: fbefm43287 tire size: 265/70r15 )
