Tl- the contact owns a 2004 audi a6 avant. the contact stated the check engine light had been coming on for some time. the dealer stated they did not have to worry about it, because the vehicle will continue to run and the worse that could happen is that it would stall. while traveling 65 mph the contact swerved to miss a deer and lost control of the vehicle. the vehicle started to rock back and forth and there was a loss of brakes. this caused the contact to hit the guard rails on both the driver and passenger sides. the vehicle then tipped on its side and went into a ravine. the engine was still running and the wheels on the vehicle were still spinning. the air bags did not deploy and caused the contact to receive injuries to their collar bone, ribs, a concussion and loss of teeth. the police said they feel the brake failed on the vehicle and the contact was given a ticket for driving an unsafe vehicle. the vehicle was towed to a body shop and the contact was told by the dealer that it seemed like there was a problem with the computer. the vehicle has since been ruled destroyed. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage and current mileages was 190000.rl5

I am writing about my 2004 a6 avant, which has 78,000 miles. at a recent oil service at an independent garage, it was suggested that there was a problem with the catalytic converters. exhaust was leaking from both sides, i was told. i took the car to my audi dealer, where they checked the exhaust system. the mechanic who examined the car concurred that the catalytic converters needed to be replaced. under a federally mandated warranty, the catalytic converters are covered for eight years or 80,000 miles. yet the dealer has declined to cover replacement because the check engine light was not on. i was given a repair estimate of $2,400.
