Defect SummaryCertain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.
Consequence SummaryThis condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
Corrective SummaryHoneywell will notify owners and replace the fuel filters free of charge. the recall began on october 18, 2006. owners may contact fram customer service at 1-800-890-2075 (option 1).

 I was driving down route 130 and the car just died so it was towed april 2008 and the fuel pump went in the car which cost 800.00 on july 6,2008 i was on my was to ewing twsp and the car died again it was towed and the fuel pump went again in the car. *tr

 I have had a miss when vehicle is warm. dealer says it is fuel, but i am using the recommended fuel according to dealer. the check engine light comes on and then goes off. dealer cannot locate problem. this is an ongoing issue since i have purchased it. also had to replace front brake pads and shocks at 26000 miles. after approximately one year use. *nlm

 No warning. fuel pump failed in busy traffic. engine died due to lack of fuel. danager to driver and children while trying to manuever vehicle to side of the road. filter changed per dealer instructions and still failed. dangerous condition with imperils driver and passengers if vehicle dies while driving in heavy traffic.*ak

 A year and a half ago there as a loss of power and an engine miss. a fuel system cleaning in a shop cleared this up. then at the end of december the van would no start. we had it towed to our local meineke. it was determined the sequential central port injector had failed. this is a documented problem for a defective part. i wrote a letter to gm to ask for reimbursement. they refused because i did not go to a dealership. and meinke used an after market part. *tr
