| Service column lock indication came up on the digital driver's information center (dic). this has been an extremely common problem with 1997-2000 corvettes. although the incident with my car took place upon start-up, meaning the car was not in motion, if it happened while the vehicle was in operation, it could be catastrophic. you simply cannot steer the car, since the steering wheel locks. *ak ref. in ea02-031 *cjs | |||

| While driving and with no warning air conditioner will not work and is leaking fluid onto passenger's side rug, causing mildew to accumulate, leaving a strong fume smell in vehicle. dealer notified. *ak | |||

| Ac drain clogs causing computer failure, engine failure, and vents to totally fog windows. almost caused serious highspeed accident on interstate. this has clogged 5 times on my corvette. many other corvette owners are having the same problem. someone will get killed if this keeps happening. gm has not helped a bit. they can't seem to keep the ac drain lines from getting clogged on these cars. the ac plenum fills with water as you drive, and then starts dripping on the floorboard computers and fries them. | |||
