Defect SummarySabersport is recalling 16,270 combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies of various part numbers sold for use as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles. these headlamps fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. these lamps do not contain the required amber side reflectors.

 The blinkers stop working sometimes while driving. the abs lights comes on stability control. headlights turn off and on while automatic twilight is on. the electrical system seems to have problems. the brakes, blinkers and gauges malfunction. i've looked on the internet and it seems a lot of corvette owners from model year 1997-2004 are experiencing the same prolems. the alarm system also fails. i find this to be dangerous problem while driving when the electrical system fails to operate.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2002 chevrolet corvette. the turn signals failed intermittently. when the turn signals are inoperative, the driver cannot use them to signal intent to turn ,this condition could result in a crash. for two years, he concluded that the component was temperature sensitive . the dealership concluded that the hazard flasher switch was the cause of the failure. his model type was excluded from recall #03v327000 ( exterior lighting:hazard flashing warning lights:switch). the manufacturer was notified, but because of the age of the vehicle he was not provided with any assistance. the current mileage was approximately 70,000. the failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
