Electronic brake control module (ebcm) controls the anti-lock braking system, traction control system, & stability control system. my ebcm module has failed, as with the vast majority of most all corvettes made from 1997 through 2004. the module requires electronic re-soldering of the printed circuit board. module failure has no correlation with care of car, age of car, use of car, mileage of car, or any other know factors, just a bad electronic component. general motors charges approximately $ 2000.00 for the repair. there are now many after market companies that will do the repair, though general motors denies there is a problem with this electronic module. this company: http://www.absfixer.com can do the repair. contact this company for much more information such as the problem nature & how many car ebcm modules have been repaired by them so far ... thank you

I have a 2002 chevrolet corvette that is in for repair for abs and other. the part a abs module does not seem to be available and may not be for another 2 to three weeks. this car has been in since 5/5 and i have no idea when i may get the vehicle back. i do not think it is reasonable to have a vehicle in for such a long time. the vehicle uses a lot of oil also, and engine noise is a problem. *nlm

Abs service light goes on. abs system failure. results in disabling of abs, traction control and active handling. has happened 4 times. chevy had initially advised shutting off car and restarting: it gets rid of code and car will function normally. if the random event occurs during emergency situation it can result in loss of control of car, i.e., that brakes can lock. *la
