Tl-the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet corvette. the contact stated after un-buckling the driver side seat belt it caught on fire. the driver seat and the carpet was badly damaged. he extinguished the fire and no one was injured. the the insurance company was contacted and will repair the vehicle. the manufacturer was contacted who stated they never heard of this problem and there are no recalls. they offered no assistance. the failure mileage were 58,000...mw | |||

Tl-the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet corvette. the contact stated while driving 80 mph the contact lost control of the vehicle and crash into a road sign. during the crash the fuel tank hit the curb and started leaking. the vehicle burst into flames. the contact was unable to exit the vehicle due to the seat belt locking. the contact died due to the fire. the fire department and a private investigator discovered the pin in the seat belt was jammed cause the seat beat not to unlock and retract. the vin was unknown. the contact has not called the manufacturer. the failure mileage 53,000. jo | |||

2003 corvette z-06 had defective seat belt ( unable to click it in) causing safety issue due to air bags on car and it is illegal to operate vehicle in florida without working seat belt. when attempted to get replacement, was told this was on back order with 4 people ahead of me waiting for this part. unable to find replacement through chevrolet or gm. it took nearly 3 weeks to obtain a replacement and was unable to use car for this time. | |||
