 2006 monte carlo has had problems with the seat belt and air bag failure. *ts the air bag light illuminated. diagnostics were run but no problems were found. when the air bags failed, this caused an issue with the onstar system. the air bag light was on while someone was sitting in the passenger seat. this meant that the air bag was not activated. the seat belt indicator light illuminated. the dealer replaced and reprogrammed the sdm. the onstar system had been replaced once. the air conditioner has been replaced once. the keyless entry system has been replaced and reprogrammed numerous times. there has also been a problem with the traction control system not functioning. *nm

 Tl*the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet monte carlo. while driving 35 mph, the contact rear ended the preceding vehicle. his vehicle was destroyed and the air bags failed to deploy. the contact suffered moderate injures. he feels that this is a safety issue because he was injured due to the air bags failing to deploy. a police report was filed. the current and failure mileages were 42,000.
