We are now about to put in our 3rd 95 cirrus transmission and 2nd 95 concorde transmission and feel that chrysler should pay for the cost of repairs. i have shelled out nearly $12,000 between the two cars in the last 6 years for repeated failures in engines, water pumps, steering assembly failures, transmissions, brake systems, radios, air conditioners, fuel rails, alternators and computer pcm's to name a few. by far the worst quality cars and highest cost of ownership of any cars i have owned in the last 30 years. something major goes wrong with these cars every few months.

My 1995 chrysler concorde with 3.3-litre v6 engine. vin#2c3hl56t1sh506366 the engine shuts off during driving. sometimes the engine restarts on its own immediately while coasting after it shuts off. sometimes i have to pull off the road and wait a couple of minutes for it to restart. it has been happening about once or twice a week. the local dealership could not diagnose the problem, and at $85/hour diagnostic time, i am reluctant to bring it to them again. most recently this happened on june 23, 2004. on that day, while driving, the first time time the engine shut down and restarted by itself, the second time later in the day, the engine shut down and i had to restart it a few minutes later. vin is 2c3hl56t1sh506366. mileage is 108,852. purchased 6/00 at croton dodge, croton-on-hudson, ny.*ak

The plastic handle on top of the dipstick breaks off easily, this allows the dipstick to remain in the retaining tube, where it could vibrate loose and drop into the engine, which would cause major damage to the engine. *cj

Engine oil leak. | |||

We took the car to the dealer to have a transmission line leak fixed (replacement of the line). we alos smelled a gasoline smell when starting the car in the morning. the dealer informed us that there was also a fuel leak in a line on the engine. the delaer told us that the line needed to be replaced or it could cause a fire. we let them have the vehicle and they said it would be fixed in a week. three weeks later we were still without the car; the delaer told us that chrysler was not supplying the original factory part for replacement because the part was apparently being redesigned. we asked why an original factory part could not be installed; they said it could, but that the part might not work and we might risk a fire. chrysler did not charge for the part, but we were out of us of the car for about 3 weeks.
