| Defect Summary | On certain passenger vehicles, the floor shifter ignition-park interlock may fail and allow the shifter to be moved out of the park position with the key removed. an inoperative interlock may also allow the key to be removed when the shifter has not been placed in the park position. | |||||||||||||||

| The transmission on a 1998 chrysler concord is malfunctioning. first i was told it was one part, the speed sensor. then the same problem occured. this time i was told that the solonid pack needed to be replaced. now my entire transmission needs to be replaced after spending money to repair piece by piece. also, my car is over heating. i have taken it to the dealer 4 different times and the problem had not been resolved. i have paid over $2000 in payments and my car is not working. *ak | |||

| I was reading the news and found the article about a probe being broadened on the dodge durango to cover the chrysler sebring also. i was wanting to make a complaint or bring to your attention that i have a 1998 concorde lxi and this same thing where the car can be shifted out of park without a key in the ignition. this has happened several times, luckily it has never caused any serious injury besides a twisted ankle or two. it is a rather serious problem though. i do not even need to have my foot on the brake to shift it out of park with or without the key on. *ak | |||
