The car head lights & dash lights dim when driving. if you play with control switch it sometimes makes them work right. car stalls and doesn't want to restart. we have done the recall for exhaust. the a/c all the sudden started making noises when stalling and now does not work makes a hissing sound. i have kept this car in great shape and have it maintained & serviced regularly. i have had several sensors replaced and the engine light refuses to go off. i put it in the shop and they said it was because gas cap was loose. that wasn't the case, car is now sitting in driveway unable to start. had the heads removed and fuel injectors cleaned and car still won't run. *tr

I have a 2004 concorde lxi. i also have had very many troubles with my car stalling while driving at various speeds and conditions. the engine will lose power and it will take some time before it starts. it seems that this is a big problem with several models that chrysler has produced. this problem needs to be addressed as soon as possible. *tr

My 2004 chrysler concorde has engine failure. i have came across lots of people with the same problems with the 2.7 engines. i just bought the car 1 year ago and chrysler has told me since the car is older than three years they are not liable. the dealership also has been rude to me and has lied to chryslers customer service. i have gotten oil changes but of course i don't have receipts. i should not be responsible for this they should. *tr

Car will stall while driving at various speeds and lose power. thankfully i have been able to steer off of the road each time. each time this has happened, the dealerships have replaced the camshaft positioning sensor at a cost of $250 each. i am on the third one. they seem to last about 10 months and then are gone again. *tr

Tl* - the contact complained about 2002 chrysler concord. the contact made a right turn into traffic while driving 5 mph and lost power. the failure occurred with a odometer reading of 90000, the weather conditions were not a factor. the contact stated that there was no indication before the engine lost power. the contact stated that she has a 2004 chrysler lxi which she has been having the same problems, and which the dealer purchased it backfrom her. she had the oil changed every 2000 miles and that the oil was clean. after the vehicle was towed to the repair shop stated sludge was found in the oil. *akpdated 01/22/07. *jb

Dt: the contact stated 2004 chrysler concorde lxi stalled while driving at 60 mph, and the vehicle lost power and the speed went immediately to 30 mph. then, the contact had to pull over to the side of the road and wait for the car to start again. the car started after 15 to 20 minutes. this has happened eight times. sometimes the car has to sit up to thirty minutes before it would start. the car has been to the dealership to be checked for the stalling issue around two or three times. the dealer replaced the cam sensor. the result was the same. this time the check engine light came on. the contact took the car back to the dealer. the car is at the dealer, and they are replacing a leaky detector pump. the contact has not been in contact with chrysler at this time. there have been several near misses. there was no indication of the problem. *ak

Tl*the contact owns a 2004 chrysler concorde. while driving 60 mph, the engine stopped running. the failure also occurs at any speed and, occasionally, the vehicle will not restart. there are no warning indicators prior to the failure. the contact was driving at a steady pace before shutting off. oftentimes, the vehicle will start back up or it has to remain parked for 2-3 minutes before restarting. the vehicle was towed to a mechanic shop, but they could not determine the cause of the failure. the failure mileage was 100,000.

Electrical system, engine, transmission problems. our 2004 chrysler concorde lxi has developed many problems over the past 2 years, i will try to list them here. we have had many events of false readings from the brain of the car according to our mechanic. the check engine light comes on as does the oil and transmission light. there has been many times that the car has just cut off at different stages in driving. we have been in stop and go traffic, or going down a city street, or driving down the highway, or just come to a stop light, or just making a turn after slowing down. so as you can see the speeds that the car cuts off varies from 0 to 5 and from 5 to 40 and from 40 to 70 miles per hour. this car has sputtered, jerked, spewed black smoke, ran so rough that we thought it would shake apart. we have had to pull over to the side of the road so many times because the car cut off, that is if it would make it to the side of the road. sometimes it takes from 5 minutes to 45 minutes before the car will re crank again. we have had the car serviced regularly as it should be by certified mechanics. they have put the diagnostics machine on it so many times and the readings are always false according to them, because if it were a true reading the car wouldn't be running at all. we have been so lucky that no one has been injured or killed so far because of these problems. because we have had so many close collisions because of these problems, i am afraid for my wife who has to drive this car to work. i can only pray that something can be done about these problems before someone is injured or god forbid even killed !!! *nm

Car is continuing to stall. dealer cannot find what is causing. car stalled while making a left turn and was consequently hit by another car from behind. no major damage done, as we were only traveling about 5 mph. car sputters a lot, stalls a lot, and is not safe for me and my 3 small children to drive. tried to trade it in because i do not feel safe anymore after the wreck, but will cause me a huge financial loss to do this. please look into this problem. this is complaint number 2 with nhtsa. i see the pacificas were just recalled because of this exact same problem... when will you look into the concords? *jb

Car sputters, check engine light will come on suddenly, car will stall. has happened while driving on freeway, as well as stop and go traffic. has caused several near crashes. i have to pull over when car stalls, put car into park, and restart with no problems. happens on several occasions, without regard to gas level or speed. will also cause other components to malfunction, such as air conditioning, radio and cruise control. has been happening for almost 6 mos now. *nm

On our second engine now. the second engine is now doing the same as the first before it quit. the check engine light is now on and no one can seem to tell me why the car keeps stalling while driving at a variety of different speeds and conditions. when it stalls the car is still partially on. the power steering goes out and i can not accelerate but there are still a couple of lights on the display the same ones that turn on when you turn the key half way forward. i think the electrical is still on but the engine is off. does that make sense? i am not a mechanic, but they can't figure it out either so i guess that wouldn't help! the check engine light code refers to the catalytic converter, but i have been told that it is fine. this is a concorde lxi actually should be called pos instead of lxi. we have replaced the cam sensors, the cam shaft, battery, alternator, battery cables, the transmission, and the engine. it still quits several times a month. this all began before the warranty went out, it paid to replace the first cam sensor. this was my first car and i didn't know what to do after the warranty wore out. i still don't know what to do. mechanics tell me to get a new car i can't afford one.
