Tl- the contact owns a 2004 chrysler concorde limited edition. the contact stated that the vehicle would stall on the road, jerk when shifting into the next gear, the vehicle would sometimes stick when attempting to shift gears, the vehicle would drive up to 5000 rpms and the engine and oil light illuminated on the instrument panel. a local mechanic rebuilt the transmission, but the failure reoccured. the manufacturer was notified, but denied any assistance to the contact. the failure mileage was 160,000 and the current mileage was 170,000. nw

Electrical system, engine, transmission problems. our 2004 chrysler concorde lxi has developed many problems over the past 2 years, i will try to list them here. we have had many events of false readings from the brain of the car according to our mechanic. the check engine light comes on as does the oil and transmission light. there has been many times that the car has just cut off at different stages in driving. we have been in stop and go traffic, or going down a city street, or driving down the highway, or just come to a stop light, or just making a turn after slowing down. so as you can see the speeds that the car cuts off varies from 0 to 5 and from 5 to 40 and from 40 to 70 miles per hour. this car has sputtered, jerked, spewed black smoke, ran so rough that we thought it would shake apart. we have had to pull over to the side of the road so many times because the car cut off, that is if it would make it to the side of the road. sometimes it takes from 5 minutes to 45 minutes before the car will re crank again. we have had the car serviced regularly as it should be by certified mechanics. they have put the diagnostics machine on it so many times and the readings are always false according to them, because if it were a true reading the car wouldn't be running at all. we have been so lucky that no one has been injured or killed so far because of these problems. because we have had so many close collisions because of these problems, i am afraid for my wife who has to drive this car to work. i can only pray that something can be done about these problems before someone is injured or god forbid even killed !!! *nm
