Seatbelt ceased to function. seems to be a problem/defect with the retractor mechanism. seatbelt in question is second row, passenger side. had a child car seat secured in our vehicle with seat belt. child outgrew seat, so switched out for a booster seat. attempted to buckle child into booster seat. seat belt locked across child's chest. i unbuckled the seat belt to re-buckle it more comfortably. the seatbelt gave a little slack, then froze in it's position. it no longer retracts, nor does it extend further. concerned, because how would the broken belt have functioned had there ever been a crash? moreover, concerned about safety/functionality of other belts in the vehicle. *tr

We were stopped waiting for traffic to clear, to turn into the school parking lot to pick up my daughter from school, when a 17 yr old rear ended us. my 1 yr old daughter was in the integrated child restraint and the insurance company say the manufacturer says that the integrity of the seat can not be comprimised. it is illegal to resale a child seat that has been in an accident in the state of illinois!!!! therefore how can i ever sell this vehicle?
