| I own a 2002 ford e150 van with a 5.4 triton engine. the van has 98000 miles, and still has the original sparkplugs in it (mainly due to the fact that ford doesn't recommend a change until 90k). while driving at approximately 20 mph, i heard a pop, and suddenly the van begin to drive sluggish and very loud. i was able to return home, and discovered that the #3 sparkplug had ejected from the head, damaging the coil. at this point, it appears that a ford dealership may need to repair the damage at a cost of $500.00 . i can only imagine how this could have been different if this would have been freeway driving or i were a considerable way from home. i will never purchase a ford product again because of this. ford needs to make this right. | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2002 ford econoline e-150. the contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph when he heard a loud noise. after pulling over her saw that the back end of the fuel tank had fallen. there was no spill of fuel from the tank. the contact saw that one of the straps were completely rotted, which caused the tank to drop. the contact slowly drove his vehicle home. the vehicle was later taken to the dealer and they advised him that the straps failed and placed a temporary strap for the rusted one. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure and current mileages were approximately 76,000. tb | |||

| I received a recall on my ford f-150 pickup, replace fuel tank straps. i called and made a appointment. when i got to the dealership, they took my truck to the service department. they informed me , they didn't have the parts to repair it. it was unsafe to drive, but wanted me to sign a waver, which would hold me accountable, if the straps broke , and caused an accident.they wanted me to drive the truck home!! i had to leave the truck at the dealership. i wasn't going to drive a dangerous truck home? this is friday, they won't have the parts until tuesday to fix it. what a pain!!! they wouldn't even give me a rental to drive, they had to drive me home!! | |||
