| My girlfriends mother was traveling about 40 mph in her 2000 ford escape, and hit an elk. luckely no harm was done to her, but her air bags did not go off. my concern is that maybe there is a defect in the escapes, and wouldn't want someone else to be injured or killed from the problem. i would appreciate it if someone could contact me in someway so that we could talk about the problem. there was about 5,000 dollars in damage, and it's my understanding that the front of the vehicle crushed like an acc. *ak | |||

| Air bag did not inflate during crash. neither of the vehicles air bags deployed upon severe frontal impact. as a result the consumer was injured. the consumer is questioning the air bags of ford vehicles, including 2000, and those manufactured in canada. *mr *cb *nlm | |||
