Defect SummaryOn certain 2 and 4 passenger, short and long bed low speed vehicles, the 12 volt output from the auxiliary card circuit board (a dc voltage to dc voltage converter) may become inoperative and result in loss of headlamp, tail lamp and turn signal lamp functions.
Consequence SummaryA loss of headlamps could impair a driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. if there is a loss of tail lamp or turn signal lamp function, a following driver may not know when the brakes have been applied or that the vehicle in front is turning, a rear-end crash could occur without prior warning.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the auxiliary cards, install a splash/spray protection, and adjust the dash seal free of charge. the recall began on september 11, 2006. owners may contact global electric at 888-871-4367.

 Gem e825/4 passenger cart with a safety recall. customer stated the cart was inspected and was supposed to be repaired. the dealer told him they could not repair the cart until he bought a new battery charger. *kb the consumer stated that the dealer informed him that they found that the new auxiliary board was incompatible with the battery charger. the consumer was told it was necessary to replace the battery charger with a re-built zyban or a new delta q charger. *jb

 Tl*the contact owns a 2000 gem nev. the contact stated that there is a safety recall # 06v222000 on his cart's electrical system. he has scheduled two appointments for the recall repair and both times no one showed up. the contact stated that the electric components on his cart failed in may of 2006 without warning. the current and failure mileages were unavailable.
