Defect SummaryCertain motor homes equipped with norcold refrigerator cooling units model numbers 442, 443, 452, ev452, 453, 462, ev462, 463, ev463, 482, ev482, 483, ev483, 874, and 875 manufactured between january 1987 and may 1995. these refrigerators can experience a break down in a rubber seal within the gas valve. as the rubber seal ages, a leak may occur, allowing propane gas to accumulate in the burner area.

 Dt: the contact stated the owner's manual indicated the wrong placement of certain components on the vehicle. while driving the motor home he placed the vehicle into gear, but it would not go out of second gear. there was no way to stop the vehicle. he had to turn off the ignition so the brakes would work. the headlight switch became so hot it almost melted the dashboard. the emergency flashers did not work. once the engine was shut down there was no reserve power in the battery to operate emergency items. the motor home has not been repaired. *ak
