POWER TRAIN - AXLE ASSEMBLY
01/01/1999
The design of this motorhome can not perform it's intended purpose. with fuel & water tanks full and nothing else in the motor home, the rear axle weighs 10,760 lbs. the f-53 ford chassis rear gawr is 11,000 lbs. this only leaves 240 lbs before exceeding the gawr. the owner could potentially overload the rear axle unknowingly. considering the space provided for storage in the rear for cargo, it would be easy to exceed the gawr with only a few choice items if there combined weight exceeds 240 lbs. currently gbm will not act on this unsatifactory condition. the $ has been the consumer. *ak
