| 1999 gmc sierra 1gtek19tsxe504480 tailgate cables breaking. replaced first cable just after warranty ran out. i should have replaced both cables at that time. some time later i replaced both cables. these only lasted a very short time. at the present time i have one cable broken and the one left is streched to the breaking point. i had one incident of the tail gate falling off. i feel buying more cables from gm is a waste of money. the incident date is a guess.*ak | |||
