| The wire that connects the airbag person in the seat switch breaks when you put (slide) the seat all the way back. they know this and have not recalled the truck! they will not and are not going to pay to fix it. the airbag will not deploy when needed, is this a safety recall? *jb | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 gmc sierra. while backing out of the driveway, the contact heard a loud noise inside the vehicle followed by gas leaking from the frontal air bags. the failure occurred without warning. the air bags failed to deploy. the air bag warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel and remained lit until the engine was turned off. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. currently, the vehicle has not been driven or repaired. the contact was waiting on a response from the manufacturer. the failure and current mileages were 39,700. updated 1/6/09 *cn the consumer stated the seatbelts locked up, which rendered them useless. updated 01/14/09. *jb | |||
