ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

5.3 vortec with afm is now burning oil at the rate of 1 qt every 800-1200 miles. the more highway driving the more oil it burns. gm is very aware of the issue and just refuses to make the proper repairs volunteerly, but is more than happy to put the customer through all kinds of bs. will start the oil consumption test, tomorrow. if that fails the dealer told me they will try the oil shield fix and if that fails, they will replace pistons and rings. seems like a huge waste of time when they know there is a major problem.
