| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 gmc sierra. while backing out of a parking spot, the vehicle suddenly stopped. the passenger side wheel was unable to move; however, the driver's side wheel operated when the steering wheel was turned. the contact called a mechanic and was informed that the rack and pinion failed or the thread became loose. the vehicle was towed to a private mechanic for repair. the contact feels that this is a safety issue and the failure could have caused a crash had it occurred on the highway. the speed was unknown. the current mileage was 48,000 and failure mileage was 47,900. | |||
